Located in the heart of Madison directly across the street from the Dane County Courthouse, Catherine Tang Law takes pride in being accessible, personable, technologically advanced, and efficient- a law firm for a new era. We strive to provide personalized, competent, friendly service for all.
Let’s be real: lawyers traditionally get paid by the hour and most firms put profit first. There is simply no incentive for law firms to do things quicker, faster, or better. Catherine Tang Law takes a different approach. Founded by a tech savvy attorney, we believe it’s time for the practice of law to be revolutionized. We utilize systems and tech to provide the best possible legal experience for our clients. We quote flat fees where possible so there are no surprises when it comes to billing. We do not take every case that comes through the door so that we can give our existing clients the attention they deserve. We listen to our clients and actually care. Our advanced and personalized approach is what puts our firm ahead and why our clients LOVE us.
While other attorneys are still figuring out how to turn off their zoom filters, we’re light years ahead from A-Z.
We have offices in Wisconsin and California but due to the federal nature of some of our practices area, we service clients all over the United States (and beyond). Catherine Tang Law aims to provide the best services possible no matter where our client's are located.
About Our Founder
Our founder Catherine Tang started her legal career in litigation at firms in Los Angeles, California. She then moved abroad and worked at one of the largest international corporate law firms in Asia before opening her own firm focused on assisting entrepreneurs with their business and trademark needs. In 2020, Ms. Tang moved to Verona, Wisconsin so that she may expand her practice back into litigation.
Catherine is regularly asked to present at legal conferences where she speaks to law firm owners on various subjects. She is an active board member of the Westside Bar Association, an organization that hosts CLE’s with some of the biggest names in law, and is a Co-founder of LegalMe, a nonprofit dedicated to help entrepreneurs with their business, marketing, and legal needs. She sits on the Board of Directors for the State Bar Intellectual Property and Technology Section.
Catherine is licensed to practice law in California and Wisconsin. She is recognized by Super Lawyers a Top Women Lawyers in California and selected as Super Lawyers Rising Star every year since Catherine Tang Law opened. She is extremely dedicated and passionate about the practice of law.
In her free time, Ms. Tang enjoys spending time with her children, their dog Summer, biking, paddleboarding, cooking, reading, writing, and exploring new places. Ms. Tang is a season pass holder at the Overture Center and is an avid traveler.
Catherine takes an innovative approach to law, believing that clients deserve a dedicated advocate, that competent legal representation should be accessible and efficient, and that clients should be heard and treated with respect. As a business owner, divorcee, influencer, and lawyer, Catherine draws on her unique life experiences to assist clients with all of their litigation and business needs.
